Arsenal Transfer Update: Attack Revamp on a Knife Edge
Can Arsenal Complete the Attack Reset with Eze, Madueke and Rodrygo?
Rodrygo Steps into the Frame
Rodrygo has been left out of Real Madrid’s starting lineup in the last three Club World Cup games, including the 1-0 win over Juventus in the last 16, suggesting he does not fit Xabi Alonso’s plans. Madrid value him at around €90 million (£77 million). His current salary is approximately €7–8 million gross per year, netting around €12 million (~£200,000 per week). Adding a standard 10–15 percent wage increase would push that to €13–14 million net per season. Rodrygo offers tactical versatility, pace, and a proven record. 14 goals and 10 assists in 51 appearances last season. His ability to stand up and be counted in Madrid’s biggest games has been questioned.
Madueke: High-Energy English Winger
Arsenal have real interest in submitting an offer for Noni Madueke, with Chelsea reportedly setting a price around £45–50 million. He made 32 Premier League appearances last season and helped Chelsea to the UEFA Conference League title. Madueke brings elite dribbling, pace, and cutting edge. He ranks in the top 1 percent in Europe for progressive carries and entries into the box. His inconsistency is noted, but at 23 he still carries huge upside. The only question comes from a fan perspective, I am tired of buying Chelsea offcuts and rejects. Chelsea find themselves stuck with a wonky contract or situation they know that they Arsenal will come to the rescue and save them. However, I recognise this is irrational but I can’t fault the scouting and the profile of player.
Eze: Midfield Maestro Returns
Eberechi Eze is closing in on a return to Arsenal. He scored 8 goals and registered 8 assists in Premier League play last season, and his stunning FA Cup winner against Manchester City sealed a historic win for Crystal Palace. He thrives in tight spaces, linking midfield to attack and breaking down organised defences. His xG (10.5) and xA(8.30) numbers confirm he creates consistent chances and shoots from high-quality positions. Eze started in Arsenal’s academy before being released. His return feels like a homecoming. He adds depth and competition for Ødegaard while providing the much-needed goals and creativity from midfield that Arsenal lacked last season. The price quoted appears to be around £60–65 million, according to an Instagram post from Fabrizio Romano.
Norgaard and Mosquera: Reinforcing the Spine
Arsenal are also close to signing Christian Norgaard and Cristhian Mosquera, bolstering the defensive midfield area and the backline. Those additions would strengthen Arteta’s spine, offering coverage and balance.
Squad Blueprint: Three Key Attacking Pieces, Five Options and Two Secured
Rodrygo and Madueke provide contrasting strengths. Rodrygo brings versatility and European pedigree, Madueke adds raw energy and youth. Eze adds tactical creativity. Securing these signings will give Arsenal both depth and top-tier quality.
Window Status: Approaching Critical Phase
With Eze close to signing and ongoing talks for Madueke and Rodrygo, Arsenal’s window is taking shape. Completing a striker deal is the final test that will decide whether this is a transformative rebuild or just a strong window.
If Arsenal manage to get all of these deals over the line, Rodrygo, Eze, Madueke, a proper striker like Gyökeres or Šeško, and smart depth with players like Nørgaard and Mosquera, then the club will have no excuses. The squad will be balanced, explosive, and deep enough to compete on all fronts. Whether it's the Premier League, the Champions League, or the domestic cups, trophies will no longer feel like a distant dream. If these signings happen, silverware is not just possible, it’s inevitable.
